Revitalization

Sunbury is moving forward with a renewed focus on thoughtful growth, community connection, and long-term revitalization.

As one of ten Pennsylvania communities selected to participate in Blueprint Communities®, Sunbury is part of a place-based revitalization initiative created by FHLBank Pittsburgh and administered by Pennsylvania Downtown Center. Through this program, local leaders receive training, tools, and resources to help create a stronger, more sustainable, and more vibrant community.

The Blueprint Communities initiative helps communities establish a shared vision, strengthen local leadership, encourage collaboration, and attract public and private investment to support meaningful progress.

In Downtown Sunbury, this work is focused on building a comprehensive revitalization strategy that enhances quality of life for residents, supports local assets, engages the community, improves housing opportunities, and helps attract new businesses, jobs, and investment.
